Omar Choudhry is Project Lead for Transportation System Management at the City of Ottawa. Omar spent the first 15 years of his career in the private sector designing, developing and implementing transportation technology solutions on state, regional and municipal projects across the United States and Canada. He has worked in the areas of system architectures, electronic collection systems, 511 IVR and LPFM systems, as well as data integration, human interface design and deployment of information systems. His level 5 autonomous career then found its way into the startup world for 7 years, before arriving at the City in 2018. Omar is a graduate of Carleton University, a Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and excited to see the future of CAV developing in his hometown.
